Dr. Silveira is interested in clinical research that promotes the health of the patients in her care. As such, some of her projects include the study of the effectiveness of the influenza vaccine in preventing hospital admissions; clinical trials of new agents to treat respiratory viral infections in lung transplant recipients; clinical trials of new agents for the treatment of CMV; and the treatment of multi-drug resistant infections.
