Biography

Anne-Marie Rick, MD MPH, is an Instructor of Pediatrics and General Academic Pediatric Fellow in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Academic Pediatrics. She is also a third year PhD student in the Clinical and Translational Science Program at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Rick completed her Masters of Public Health and medical school training at Johns Hopkins University. She completed her pediatrics internship, residency and global health fellowship at University of Colorado. Dr. Rick focuses her clinical time in newborn care at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Primary Care Center and UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital. Her clinical research is focused on infectious diseases related to maternal-infant health with active research related to newborn sepsis, perinatal transmission of COVID-19 infections, and serum and breastmilk protection conferred by maternal influenza immunization during pregnancy. Her long-term career goal is to become an independently-funded physician-investigator who studies infections in maternal-infant health with a focus on the safety, immunogenicity, and benefits of pregnancy vaccines.
