This presentation will overview the developmental progression of children’s ideas about racial identity and racism from birth to eight years, and ways that professionals that work with young children can learn to shift their practice to advance anti-racism. Attendees will consider how their own identities, self-awareness, and commitment to racial learning may impact the effectiveness of their research and clinical practice.
